Clothing Line Drapes!

Here Is A New Project For You!
This is a step by step "How To" on making drapes from some vintage aprons and clothing pins

You will need the following
  1. Aprons (I Used Two Apron Per Window) Also Try to Find Aprons That Are the Same Length
  2. Hammer
  3. Clothing Pins (I Used Three Clothing Pins on Each Window)
  4. Finishing Nails
  5. Drill

First Step
Pull clothing pins apart leaving the spring on one of the haves

Second Step
Drill a small hole in one of all the clothing pins half

Third Step
Hammer one half of the pins to the wall
I used three pins on each window, one on each end and one in the middle of the window to hold on to that "clothing line" look
Tip One
I found that drilling the hole in the half that still has the spring attached helped when it came to putting the pin back together once its been nailed to the wall
Tip Two
I also found that drilling the hole before nailing the pins helped it from splitting the wood with the nail

Put the clothing pin back together

Fourth Step
Tie aprons together

Final Step
Hand Aprons!

About The Owner

My photo
I graduated from FSU with a degree in Apparel Design and combined my love for vintage with my love for dress making in youthanizeing vintage garbs. I have always had a passion for the eras before me since I can remember. The daughter of my father who collects and restores old classic cars and my mother who filled her home with the most fascinating antiques, I guess it just seemed natural.
